The Apple Watch starts a different workout or stops in the middle of my run – what's going on?

That's annoying, and we understand the frustration. To be honest: there's nothing we can do about it.

On the Apple Watch, your Trait workout doesn't run in a Trait app but in Apple's own Workout app. Trait hands the workout over via an Apple interface, after which Apple takes over completely (see Why doesn't my planned workout show up on my Apple Watch?).

In this environment there are known bugs on Apple's side:

• A workout is displayed, but a different one runs when you start it (e.g. an older one).
• The workout stops during your run.

Both are down to Apple, not Trait, and Trait has no influence over them. We're not saying this to pass the blame – we'd love to fix it, but technically we have no way to do so.

What you can do:

• If your run was still recorded on the Watch, it will arrive in Trait via Apple Health. You can then assign it to the planned workout (Pro).
• If the recording is lost, manually mark the planned workout as done in Trait.
• Alternatively, you can run the workout with the in-app tracker on your phone, which announces segments and laps.
